I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
